Barry Eichengreen is the George C. Pardee and Helen N. Pardee Professor of Economics and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley.

He is one of the world's foremost experts on international monetary and financial history, exchange rate regimes, capital flows, and financial crises. His work combines economic history with contemporary policy analysis.
